WELL NOW… WHAT’S THAT SAILBOAT BEEN UP TO?
BARRINGTON’S GHOST RETURNS

That old, rather neglected sailboat drifting from one side of the harbor to the other seems to have a story of its own. And lately, there’s been talk of a figure aboard. Those who’ve caught a glimpse describe a tall, bearded gentleman, dressed as though he’s stepped straight out of another century. Oddly enough, he bears a striking resemblance to Captain Edward Barrington. But try to get a closer look and he simply fades from view.
Could it really be the old Captain?
And then there’s the sad lady.

Down along the waterfront, where the morning mist rolls across the harbor, a solitary woman can sometimes be seen standing watch. She carries a lantern and wears a sorrowful expression, as though she’s been waiting a very long time for someone to return. Perhaps she is waiting for the Captain.
Could she know something about his final voyage? Did he meet his end aboard that old vessel? And why, after all these years, has he returned to Oak Harbor? We can’t say for certain. But there’s something about that wandering boat, the woman with the lantern, and the ghostly sea captain that makes us wonder if a story long forgotten is beginning to unfold.
So, if you happen to spot a bearded sea captain drifting around the waterfront, or perhaps stopping in for a pint at Barrington’s, don’t be alarmed. He’s only coming home.
And Captain, if you’re reading this… your table’s waiting.

And she’s done “Waiting”…
